A visitor who can't find a stand is an exhibitor losing a lead. And an exhibitor who loses leads thinks twice about coming back next year.
At many trade shows, the floor plan is still a PDF or a printed board at the hall entrance. It's fine for finding the café, but not for spotting, in two minutes, the five exhibitors you care about among hundreds of stands.
What is an interactive event map?
An interactive event map, also called an interactive floor plan, is your venue's floor plan turned into a search tool. Visitors open it on their phone or on the event website, with nothing to download, and can:
- Search for an exhibitor by name, category or product.
- View the exhibitor's profile: logo, description, website and contact details.
- Follow the route to a stand, a room or a service.
- See what's happening in each room of the programme.
And unlike a PDF, it updates instantly: if an exhibitor moves stand, nobody has to reprint anything.
What your show gains
- Happier exhibitors. They get more qualified visits, including the stands at the back of the hall.
- Revenue from visibility. You can sell banners and featured exhibitors right on the floor plan, exactly where visitors decide which stand to visit.
- Data on your audience. You'll know which exhibitors, categories and products were searched for most. A strong argument when selling your next edition.
- Better flow. Fewer visitors lost at aisle crossings and fewer questions at the information desk.
How we work at Apps&Maps
At Apps&Maps, we are technology partners for trade show and conference organisers. You send us the floor plan, the exhibitor list in Excel and the programme. We integrate everything, make any changes you need and support you right up to the last day of the event, with a statistics report at the end.
We have supported events of 8,000 to 20,000 visitors in France and Mexico, working in English, French and Spanish.
Is your event only a few weeks away? There's still time: the first version of the floor plan is ready in 5 to 10 working days.
